Pardon our appearence, LesLapins.org is still being worked on.
Les Lapins was started, 5 years ago when I was asked to take Sweetheart
from a Pet Shop. Sweetheart is a French Lop Mix that had been
scarred
from injuries, sustained from a fight. Sweetheart
was no longer "saleable" as a pet and was destined to be a Zoo critters
dinner.
Since then, I have been taking in the un-wanteds, the sick, and
the
injured. The majority of the rabbits that I have up for
adoption were once "special needs" bunnies. Today, they are
healthy and ready for their final destination: YOUR HEART and
YOUR HOME.
Mr. Tibbs
In becoming Les Lapins, Mr. Tibbs was our first, official
rescue.
He's a beautiful, demanding, one year old New Zealand. His eyes
are blue! He was surrendered because he was doing what most
mature, un-neutered, male rabbits do! We had him neutered!!
As he was never litter box trained, he needed a little encouraging, in
this area. He soon mastered "Litter Box 101"! Mr.
Tibbs was a "special needs" bunny. He NEEDED to be petted
constantly!! This guy is a "love bug"!!!
Mr. Tibbs was adopted and is now living in NYC!! He is a true "house rabbit" as
he no longer spends time in a cage. I have been told that he is exceptionally
clean & loves his time out on the firescape! He is truly a happy bunny!!!
